Installation and pre-installation
Our experience suggests how important it is to master on a large-scale, an industrialized approach to the pre-installation and installation processes.
At SES, nearly 40 people are assigned exclusively to delivering installation and pre-installation services. They are involved either in project management or in training and certifying partner companies.
- Pre-installation technical visit:
conducted by a project manager in the customer's presence, for the purpose of defining detailed user specifications.
- Delivery control:
a procedure designed to prevent interruptions in installation work, usually carried out at night.
- Computer link-up:
the integration of our software platform into the customer's back-office system. SES dedicated project teams implement the link-up at a very early stage, especially where large-scale and/or international deployment is required.
- Installation of the radio transmission infrastructure:
this is carried out at night so that business is not disrupted. The infrastructure consists of a secure, two-tier antenna system (full back-up).
- Training and set-up:
initialization of the electronic labels and on-site training of users and administrators.
- User acceptance test (UAT)
by the customer teams.
